About Us
Since its inception in 1959, AIT has grown into a leading international postgraduate institution in Asia. AIT’s mission is to develop highly qualified professionals and researchers who will play a leading role in the sustainable development of the region and its integration into the global economy. AIT offers Masters and Doctoral Degree Programs in its 3 Schools: School of Engineering and Technology (SET), School of Environment, Resources and Development and School of Management (SERD) and School of Management (SOM). AIT Extension offers non-degree continuing education courses to practicing professionals. AIT enrolls 130 Faculty members and nearly 2,500 full-time students, including one third of Doctoral students, from over 40 countries, mostly from Asia. AIT has over 21,000 alumni from 100 countries, living and working in more than 70 countries worldwide. More than 90% of AIT alumni remain in the region and hold positions of influence in industries, governments, international organizations and universities. In an era of strong internationalization of higher education, AIT positions itself in academic and research exchanges and collaborations, between Asia and other continents.
