Description
For U.S. citizens living abroad, tax season inevitably brings questions and headaches, particularly in light of the changes introduced over the last year and a half.
Bring your questions to the 2019 AMCHAM U.S. Tax Filing Updates. Led by the AMCHAM Tax Committee, this session is an invaluable primer for the issues you need to consider for your 2019 year-end tax planning and tax reporting. Topics will include lessons learned after the first year of tax filing after the passage of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) of 2017:
- For many individuals, it's now better to take Foreign Tax Credit than the Foreign Earned Income Exclusion - find out if this is true for you.
- For U.S. business owners, we'll have updates on GILTI and the other changes that have impacted U.S. corporations abroad.
Our presenters are:
- Jonathan Blaine, Director, DFDL Thailand
- Matthew Stevens, Director, US Global Tax Plan Limited
If you or a family member is a U.S. taxpayer, this is your opportunity to learn about key tax issues that affect you. We hope you join us for what is always a lively and interesting discussion.
