Description
Starting in January 2019, the U.S. is set to impose new tariffs as high as 25% on many classes of China-produced goods shipped to the U.S. As a result, many producers based in the U.S., China and other countries are beginning to look at relocating their production from China to Thailand as a way to avoid these tariffs.
Please join us to hear our speakers, Jeffrey Neeley of Husch Blackwell, and Michael Doyle of Seri, Manop & Doyle discuss the implications of this shift. Their presentation will address the likelihood that the U.S. will impose tariffs of 25% in January, and whether those tariffs could continue for a substantial amount of time. They will also summarize the legal requirements for shifting the “country of origin” if shifting their production to Thailand to avoid tariffs on Chinese goods.
