Description
AMCHAM is honored to welcome U.S. Ambassador Robert Godec and Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt, who will preside over our tree-planting ceremony at the Suan Mokkh pavilion in Suan Rot Fai park in commemoration of the 190-year history of U.S.-Thai diplomatic relations.
Join us as we embark on an eco-friendly journey in support of the Bangkok Governor's ambitious "One Million Tree Project." Participants will plant 190 trees together, symbolizing each year of enduring friendship. Together, we are cultivating a brighter, more sustainable future.
We will also host a special presentation ceremony of the iconic Giant Swing Replica, "Sao Ching-Cha." This captivating piece of Thai heritage represents the rich cultural tapestry that binds our two nations.
This event is part of an ongoing initiative with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, U.S. Embassy and AMCHAM members, which began with our Independence Day Tree-Planting in June, hosted at the U.S. Ambassador's Residence.
After this event, AMCHAM members are invited to build on this initiative at their own homes and offices. We'll be sending members home with additional trees to plant as a symbol of our continued commitment to Thailand. We welcome your participation in the social media campaign by sharing photos from the event on your LinkedIn using #amchamthailand to help raise awareness.
Dress code: Casual, ready to plant trees.
