AMCHAM is pleased to present The Governors' Table. Each event in this dinner series will feature two AMCHAM board governors as your hosts for the evening. Jennifer and Jeff will lead the participants in active discussions on the Covid-19 Impact to Manufacturers in Thailand, as well as current events and areas of interest based on their own expertise as well as that of their guests.
The dinner venues are AMCHAM members who are excited to welcome you to enjoy the very best of their specialty cuisines and hospitality. To allow for meaningful conversation and social distancing, attendance will be limited to 25 guests.
Our hosts, Jennifer Peng of Colgate Palmolive and Jeffrey Nygaard of Seagate, look forward to welcoming you on the evening of September 10th.
Jennifer Peng is the Finance Director, Greater Indochina HUB at Colgate Palmolive Thailand, as well as Treasurer and Board Governor at AMCHAM. Based in Bangkok since early 2018, Jennifer is responsible for overseeing the financial operation within the Indochina region including Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, Cambodia and Laos. Jennifer joined Colgate Palmolive August 1998 and has extensive experience for 20 years spanning the full spectrum of finance and accounting operations, including strategic and business planning, financial analysis, commercial finance, credit and collection, internal control, accounting and treasury.
Jeff Nygaard. Leading a global organization, Jeff Nygaard manages over 38,000 people who speak nine languages and live on five continents. He first started working at Seagate as an engineer. During his tenure, he has been instrumental in improving financial performance, building high-performance teams, integrating a competitor's business, developing strategic alliances, and restructuring Seagate. Nygaard reflects the senior management team’s philosophy that a holistic, responsible business — one that treats people, the environment, and our community with respect — enables better results.
Nygaard is an American Chamber of Commerce Thailand Board Member and past President. He holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, with a focus on Robotics and Control System Design. He is a certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt. He lives in Thailand with his wife and two children.
