Description
The full enactment of the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) has been postponed until May 31, 2021. Can companies forgo compliance until then, or are there any issues that should still be reviewed and considered? Does the Covid pandemic bring unique implications for personal data protection? What about all those personal data committees that were supposed to be established? What are some corporate best practices for personal data protection from other jurisdictions?
Please join the Legal Committee as it welcomes our speakers:
- Dr. Prapanpong Khumon, Vice Dean (Academic Affairs) of School of Law, University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce. He also acts as an Advisor to Secretary-General of the Personal Data Protection Commission, Thailand and a Chairperson of Academy of Public Enterprise Policy, Business and Regulation (APaR).
- Kevin O'Neal, Managing Counsel, Asia South Business Unit, Chevron. His specialties include Oil and Gas Law, Commercial, Compliance and Investigations and Litigation Management.
