Thailand’s ageing population, changing workforce expectations, and accelerating technological development are creating an increasingly urgent skills challenge for employers. How can companies build the capabilities they need when traditional talent pools are shrinking and the skills required for future growth are rapidly evolving?

Jointly organized by the AMCHAM Advanced Manufacturing and Human Capital Committees, this panel will bring together senior leaders representing automotive manufacturing, semiconductors and engineering, and facilities services.

Drawing on first-hand experience from within their organizations, the panelists Ibrahim Kocagoz of PCS Security & Facility Services; Seksan Chittanusart of Analog Devices (Thailand); and Silvio Illi of Auto Alliance Thailand; will share how companies are responding through workforce reskilling, industry–education collaboration, technology adoption and new approaches to attracting, developing and retaining talent. Their different industry perspectives will provide practical insights into what is working, where the greatest challenges remain, and how employers can take a more active role in developing Thailand’s future workforce.

The discussion will be moderated by Richard Jackson, Co-Chair of the AMCHAM Advanced Manufacturing Committee.

About the Speakers

Ibrahim Kocagoz is Engineering Solutions Director at PCS Thailand, working effectively in order to increase the efficiency and quality of Engineering services while trying to reduce the CO footprint. Ibrahim has a really good experience in engineering, construction, commissioning, research, development, management, especially for Smart Cities, Sustainability, Urban Development, Instrumentation & Control Systems with over 20 years working experience.

Seksan Chittanusart is Engineering Director at Analog Devices (Thailand) with more than 35 years of experience in the semiconductor and electronics industry. Passionate about developing future engineering talent, he has played a key role in building technical capabilities and mentoring the next generation of innovators. As an advisor to several Thai universities on semiconductor education, he actively helps bridge the gap between industry and academia. His unique perspective offers valuable lessons on preparing Thailand's workforce for the challenges and opportunities ahead” 

Silvio Illi is President and CEO of Auto Alliance Thailand (the Ford-Mazda joint venture) since April 2025. He previously held senior Ford roles including ASEAN Manufacturing Director, South America Operations Director, and Plant Manager at Camacari and São Bernardo do Campo. He holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Buenos Aires, with postgraduate studies in Quality Engineering and People Management. He's a Certified Quality Manager, Ford Black Belt, and Certified Board Member.
