AMCHAM invites you to join us for our Governors' Table, hosted by Wiyada Srinaganand of 3M, Sondra Sutton Phung of Ford Motor Company, Simon Denye of Harmless Harvest, Narumon Chivangkur of Citibank, Winnie Wong of Mastercard, Prae Dumrongmongcolgul of Meta, and Philip Bernard of Western Digital.
Our Governors' Tables offer an opportunity to connect to leading executives and AMCHAM Board Governors over leisurely dinners in unique venues around Bangkok. The small group size allows for individual introductions followed by relaxed, wide-ranging conversations with leaders from diverse industries and businesses.
The venue for this special evening is the Rajadamri 1 room at The St. Regis Bangkok, with panoramic views overlooking the Bangkok Sports Club and city skyline.
About your hosts:
Wiyada Srinaganand is currently Managing Director of 3M Thailand. She joined 3M as General Counsel and Management Operating Committee with over 20 years of experience in private practice and as in-house counsel. She started her career as an associate at Coopers & Lybrand Thailand, moved to White & Case Thailand and Norton Rose Thailand, and joined Michelin Thailand as General Counsel. Prior to taking her current position, her role at 3M was expanded to Women's Leadership Chair and Diversity & Inclusion Champion and from the legal pillar, she was recognized as Southeast Asia Legal 500 Powerlist Individual in 2019.
Sondra Sutton Phung is General Manager - Global Ranger & Everest at Ford Motor Company, responsible for Ford's Global Truck Company across ASEAN, Australia/NZ, the Middle East, South America, and Europe. Her 27 years of experience at Ford Motor Company includes six years in China, three years in Japan and the past three and half years in Thailand, with extensive experience in brand and product marketing, global operations management, complexity reduction, and building trust-based internal and external relationships. Sondra holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Master of Science in Mathematics from Clark Atlanta University.
Simon Denye is Managing Director of Harmless Harvest, where he helms all operational and business functions in Thailand, fulfilling the Harmless mission of providing the best tasting, organic, and fair for life coconut products to the World. Simon believes in a values-led approach and is passionate about generating wealth for all stakeholders through good business leadership. Previously, Simon was with Dole Thailand for almost a decade in various roles, most recently as the VP & MD. Simon is also a Non Executive Director of Prime Hemp Science and Industry srl, and an advisor to the board of Thai EuroCoat. He has lived in Southeast Asia for the last 17 years between Thailand and the Philippines.
Narumon Chivangkur is the Citi Country Officer and Banking Head for Citi Thailand. She also oversees Citi's business activity in Cambodia, Myanmar, & Laos. Prior to this assignment she was Citi Thailand Head of Markets & Securities Services from January 2015. Narumon has been a member of the Thailand Financial Markets Committee (TFMC) since its inception in 2015, elected to represent the Association of International Banks in TFMC. Narumon joined Citi Thailand in 1996 as a Management Associate and has held various leadership roles in their Markets business in Thailand including FX and Derivative Trading, Corporate Sales and Structuring and, Derivative Structuring. She led and grew the Investor Sales business in Thailand from 2011 to 2014 before leading Markets and Securities Services from 2015 to 2021. Narumon has a Master of Business Administration degree, major Finance from California State University, San Bernardino.
Winnie Wong is Country Manager of Mastercard. She brings over 20 years of experience working in various ASEAN markets, with deep insights into commercial payments solutions, banking and the consumer goods sector. She has served as Counry Manager for Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia since 2018, where she plays a pivotal role in establishing an ecosystem for safe and secure payments. Her efforts are instrumental in engaging regulators and stakeholders in creating a cashless and financially inclusive society. She was recently appointed as Country Manager for Thailand and Myanmar, and will continue Mastercard's efforts to connect and power an inclusive digital economy.
Asama (Prae) Dumrongmongcolgul is Country Director of Facebook, Thailand from Meta. Her focus area is driving economic impact for the country by empowering businesses of all sizes in Thailand to better connect with their consumers and communities through digital and commerce. Prior to Meta, Prae was a Managing Director and Partner at Boston Consulting Group, Thailand. She has advised clients in a wide range of industries and across topics related to digital transformation and growth. She has more than 15 years of industry experience and has worked across SEA. Prae earned her B.S. in Systems Engineering from University of Virginia and her MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Prae is a strong believer in social impact and passionate about bringing positive changes to local communities.
Philip Bernard is the Senior Vice President of Global HDD Operations of Western Digital, with over 30 years of experience in the hard drive industry. He has held executive positions in engineering and operations at Western Digital Corporation in both Asia and the United States. In his current role, based in Thailand, he leads WD's main operation in Thailand together with pilot factories overseas, as well as engineering in many countries. Philip holds multiple patents in the field of storage engineering and is a strong advocate for industry 4.0 technologies, contributing to both industry and academic advancements. On the academic front, Philip Bernard served as a member of the Industrial Advisory Panel for the School of Engineering and Computer Engineering at Monash University's Malaysian campus from 2012 to 2015. In March 2021, he was appointed as the Industrial Advisor for the Physics Department of Xiamen University Malaysia.
