Description
The AMCHAM Customs & Excise Council is organizing a seminar on the introduction to the ‘Export Control Law on Dual Use Product’ and ‘Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) Law’.
The Ministry of Commerce has enacted a new ‘Act on control products which are related to the spread of Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD)’. The Act was published in the Royal Gazette on April 30, 2019. The purpose of both laws is to control the products for export.
There are many uncertainties regarding this matter, such as whether the ‘Export Control Law on Dual Use Product’ will be replaced by the WMD law, how to comply, and key implications for AMCHAM members.
AMCHAM is pleased to invite you to participate in the seminar to learn more about both laws and your obligations. AMCHAM has invited Khun Patcharakarn Suthiworayanon, the Ministry of Commerce specialist, who will provide clarification and insights about the laws, and Mr. John Haberstock, Regional Export Control Officer of the US Department of Commerce, who will share experience and international practice. The seminar will be conducted in English.
