Please join members of the Business Economics Committee to hear a briefing by Nalin Chutchotitham, Chief Economist for Thailand and Philippines, as she discusses the impact of the U.S. - China trade tensions on both the Thai and global economic outlook.
Drawing on Citibank's research and data, Nalin will present findings on the effects of the trade tension on ASEAN economies, in terms of supply chain, trade diversion, and relocation. Within this context, she will then look at Thailand's economic expectations and forecasts.
About the Speaker
Nalin Chutchotitham is Chief Economist for Thailand and Philippines, Citi, based in Bangkok. Prior to joining Citi in June 2017, Nalin covered the Thai economy at both HSBC and Kasikornbank for over 8 years. She also served as an economist at the Bank of Thailand from 2006-2007. Nalin received her M.A. degree in Economics from Duke University, and her Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Chulalongkorn University.
