Description
On June 2, Deputy Secretary of State Wendy R. Sherman met with Prime Minister and Defense Minister Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha to discuss U.S.-Thai security cooperation, expanding economic ties, promoting fundamental freedoms, Mekong regional issues, the crisis in Burma, and deepening cultural ties between the American and Thai people.
Ms. Sherman’s visit coincided with the United States Government’s announcement that they will share at least 80 million vaccine doses by the end of June as part of the U.S. commitment to become an arsenal of vaccines for the world.
AMCHAM is delighted to offer the opportunity for a members-only webinar with Michael Heath, Chargé d’Affaires, a.i. at the U.S. Embassy in Bangkok, where he will brief the audience on more details of Deputy Secretary Sherman’s visit, as well as the newly announced U.S. vaccine strategy.
After the briefing, Mr. Heath will take questions from members on the call.
