The AmChams of Asia Pacific (AAP) Door Knock Series returns with Jonathan Martin, National Political Reporter for the New York Times and co-author of the best-selling book This Will Not Pass: Trump, Biden, and the Battle for America's Future.
As a follow-on to his in-person meeting with the AAP DC delegation, Jonathan will discuss the current state of play in Washington and the coming midterm elections. While a lot of people are unhappy with the Biden Administration, there is not widespread support for a “Trumpist Party,” either. As such, a political realignment is taking place in American politics.
About the Speaker
Jonathan Martin is a national political correspondent for The New York Times. Before joining The Times, he had served as senior political writer for Politico since its inception in 2007. He has appeared frequently on television and radio as a political analyst and commentator, including on CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, MSNBC and NPR.
