Laksasubha Kridakon\, Owner/GM of Laksasubha Resort. They will share their personal career journey\, followed by an informal question and answer session\, led by AMCHAM Executive Director\, Heidi Gallant where we can explore topics such as their ingredients for success\; peers and mentors who have helped them along the way\, challenges to balancing volunteer work\, their business and family\; and advice they have for women about their experience.\n\n\n\nOur Speakers:\n\nAileen Chew is a technology enthusiast\, with almost two decades of experience in financial products\, and go-to-market strategies. She holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from the Nanyang Technological University Singapore and is the mother of three spirited boys.\n\n\n\nSince joining Mastercard in 2016\, Aileen has been actively advocating the cashless movement in Asia Pacific. She has been the Country Manager of Thailand and Myanmar for Mastercard since 2019. Here\, she has championed the need and expansion of cashless payments and has been dedicated to accelerating the country's digital payments landscape to support the government's vision of creating an inclusive cashless society.\n\n\n\nPrior to joining Mastercard\, Aileen worked for Singapore Telecommunications (SingTel) in Singapore where she held key leadership positions in marketing\, business and product development. By leveraging existing opportunities to create new ones\, Aileen has also paved the way for women in technology and payments.\n\n\n\nM.L. Laksasubha Kridakon\, M.L. Laksasubha Kridakon is the daughter of a Thai Ambassador/diplomat who lived in Paris\, Buenos Aires\, Canberra and Budapest for over 25 years. Being educated in American International Schools around the world\, she received her BA. in Politics from the University of Canberra\, Australia. With her multicultural/ linguistic background she started her career working with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN. ESCAP)\n\n \n\nReturning to Bangkok in 1993 as a single mom\, she started designing and importing Czech crystals into Thailand and opened the Krystina Shop at the Peninsula Plaza. Within the same year\, she also opened First Steps International Preschool.\n\n \n\nIn 2007\, she ventured into hospitality\, opening Laksasubha Resort Hua Hin\, a 65 room villa beachfront property in the center of Hua Hin city. M.L. Laksasubha\, enjoys being a serial entrepreneur and has been sitting on the board of AustCham for 13 years. She believes in her contributions as a way to give back to her community.
