Throughout the past year, the U.S. government has passed a series of laws to help stimulate a U.S. economy that has been heavily impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. The CARES Act passed in March 2020 was followed by the 2021 Reconciliation Act passed in December 2020 and now the American Rescue Plan just signed into the law by President Biden last week. In our 2021 tax update, the AMCHAM Tax Committee will provide an overview of these laws and will explain how U.S. taxpayers residing in Thailand can benefit from some of the tax relief that is available to them. Join us as we explore some of options that might be available to you.
