Description
The linear economy of making, using, then disposing of products is losing ground with today’s generation of waste conscious individuals and companies. In global markets consumers are growing more and more aware of the world’s depleting resources. Many countries are pushing forward their measures to realize a Circular Economy. In Thailand, the government considers Circular Economy as one of the country’s sustainable growth engines to bolster the economy.
AMCHAM invites you to the Sustainability and Plastics Committee event on Circular Economy Introduction and Plastic Waste Situation in Thailand. Richard Jones, SVP, Indorama Ventures Public Company Limited, will speak on the Circular Economy and how it impacts a wide range of businesses. Kongsak Dokbua, VP of Plastics Institute of Thailand, will share the plastics material flow database analysis, which is the first ever database conducted in the country. He will also talk on the plastic waste situation in Thailand and how the Circular Economy has played a role in tackling this issue. At the end of the session, we will discuss the AMCHAM Sustainability and Plastics Committee’s 2021 activity plan and brainstorm how AMCHAM can take it forward.
