Our Speakers:
Siobhan Das, Chief Executive Officer, American Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (AmCham Malaysia). As the Chief Executive Officer of AmCHam Malaysia, Siobhan has crafted an action-oriented policy platform to address the strategic concerns of American multinational corporations and confront operational challenges directly. Through collaboration with business leaders and stakeholders from the Malaysian and U.S. governments, Siobhan ensures AmCham Malaysia is the definitive advocate for U.S. businesses in Malaysia. Previously, Siobhan served in a directorial capacity at AmCham Shanghai for five years and spent over a decade in China. With a background spanning two decades in the film industry across multiple continents, she brings a wealth of diverse experiences to her role. Siobhan is a Sloan Fellow from London Business School with a Master's in Leadership and Strategy. She holds dual undergraduate degrees in Broadcasting & Film and English from Boston University and is passionate about uncovering inner strengths, fostering collaboration, and empowering individuals to make impactful contributions.
Lydia Ruddy, the Managing Director of AmCham Indonesia, brings 25 years of professional experience in the private sector, research, and development. Prior to joining AmCham as MD in 2024, Lydia served as Director of Communications and Special Advisor on US-ASEAN Affairs at the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA), an international think tank based in Jakarta. She also served as Advisor to the Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) for five years, where she co-chaired KADIN’s US Committee (KIKAS). Her academic qualifications include a Law degree (J.D.) from Georgetown University and a Master's in Urban Planning from the University of Washington. She first came to Indonesia in 2006 as a Fulbright scholar to research private investment in Aceh post-tsunami. Before moving to Indonesia, her career focused on law, real estate development, and land conservation in the United States. Currently, she serves on the Board of Trustees of the American Indonesian Exchange Foundation (AMINEF).
