Description
Please join us for AMCHAM’s monthly member meeting for July, where AMCHAM President, Greg Wong, will brief members on AMCHAM matters, followed by a presentation covering the latest updates on foreign direct investment in the region.
Covid-19 severely disrupted regional trade flows and foreign direct investment plans across all ASEAN countries, forcing governments to respond quickly to mitigate the impact on business as well as contain the public health crisis. As we enter the second half of 2020, we can begin to assess the outcomes of these policies as ASEAN economies position themselves for recovery and look ahead to target foreign direct investment.
Our distinguished panelists will provide an overview of the current global and ASEAN trade and investment flows in the Covid-19 era, followed by an in-depth look at what individual countries – Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Myanmar – have specifically done to support businesses in their countries; how they are currently experiencing the economic impact; and what their future prospects look like.
