About the Speaker

Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt was re-elected for a second four-year term in June 2026. Before becoming governor in 2022, he served as Thailand’s Minister of Transport from 2012 to 2014 and held academic positions at Chulalongkorn University’s Faculty of Engineering from 1995 until entering government service. His approach to urban development emphasizes practical solutions, public participation, and transparent governance. Under his administration, Bangkok has advanced digital initiatives such as Traffy Fondue, a platform for reporting and tracking urban issues, and Open Bangkok Data, which facilitates public access to city information.
