AMCHAM’s Manufacturing Committee is pleased to host Dr. Larry Persons, author of the book “The Way Thais Lead,” who will speak on his research on Thai leadership values and the multiple dimensions of "face" which plays a key role in the workplace. He will unpack his research findings and offer thoughts on how to bring transformational leadership to the Thai workplace.
Dr. Larry’s research and insights in cross-cultural management in the the Thai context will be of great value to leaders of all nationalities.
About the Speaker
Dr. Larry S. Persons: Larry S. Persons (PhD, Intercultural Studies) is a leadership development expert specializing in multi-cultural contexts. He is CEO of CQ Leadership Consulting, a firm offering cross-cultural leadership training and consulting, executive development, executive coaching, and leadership assessments. Larry is the author of The Way Thais Lead: Face as Social Capital (Silkworm Books, 2016). Born and raised in Thailand where he has lived for over 30 years, Larry has exceptional command of the Thai language and an insider’s understanding of Thai culture. He teaches “Culturally Intelligent Leadership” to Executive MBA students at Sasin School of Management, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand.
