Description
AMCHAM is convening a logistics and supply chain working group to discuss critical challenges facing this industry in Thailand and identify key improvements.
The Covid-19 pandemic has dramatically impacted logistics and supply chain companies, which are involved in moving, storing and supplying goods. It was first felt in China and then rippled across the globe as cargo froze and countries went into lockdowns. With product trade and demand sinking both locally and across international borders logistics companies face unprecedented challenges. However, opportunities have been created as well, and the health of this industry is vital to the growth of the Thai economy and its competitiveness.
During our meeting, we will be looking to explore the regulatory barriers and restrictive risk management procedures that are creating bottlenecks for supply chains to better understand the opportunity and needs of our members in this category.
We would also like to assess our members? interest in forming a new group under this header with the aim to support and promote the industry?s development in Thailand. This new group would also work with AMCHAM to engage with relevant government bodies to improve efficiencies in the transport and supply chain processes.
