About DEPA and Thailand Digital Valley
DEPA was established under the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society to lead the promotion of the digital economy, foster investment in digital innovation, and support both domestic and international collaboration in this sector. The Thailand Digital Valley was established alongside the Industrial and Digital Innovation Promotion Zone of Thailand (Eastern Economic Corridor of Digital: EECd). Its primary focus is attracting investments in digital businesses, fostering digital commerce and innovation, and adding value to the Thai digital industry. The initiative emphasizes collaboration between government, private sector, and educational institutions to encourage joint production and resource sharing. The goal is to create a significant digital innovation testbed for the country, easing regulations that might impede digital technology development (Living Lab & Testbed Sandbox), such as testing prototypes in real-world environments before deployment.
