The Customs & Excise Council will convene virtually on May 18. The meeting agenda of May are:
1. Updates on the council related items:
a. Illicit Goods Paper
b. Customs and Excise Dept tentative meeting – Recommend following up after the new cabinet is in charge during Jun-Jul 23.
2. Excise regulatory update
a. Progress of illicit goods implementation for cigarette
3. Share the key issues from US Custom and Border Protection (CBP) meeting on March 16.
- Wind trade compliance
- Green trade strategy
- For US importer, more information collection along the supply-chain, insist of compliance
4. Customs regulatory update
5. Progress of Transfer Pricing adjustment connection with Tax Committee
6. Walk-in items
7. Next Customs and Excise Council Meeting: June 2023 Video Conference - June 13, 2023, at 9.00 – 10.00 AM.
