About Speaker
David Mann is Chief Economist for AP at Mastercard, leading economic, financial, policy, and market thought leadership. He joined in 2020 after over 20 years at Standard Chartered Bank, where he served as Asia Chief Economist and later Global Chief Economist. His earlier roles included covering the US and Latin America, and working as an FX strategist in London and Hong Kong.
He has received multiple awards, including top-ranked Asia macro research team (AsiaMoney) and the Rybczynski Economist Prize. David frequently appears on major media such as CNN, CNBC, BBC World, and Bloomberg.
A global professional, he has lived and worked in the UK, Hong Kong, New York, and Singapore. He holds an MSc in Finance from the University of London and a BSc in Economics from the University of Warwick.
