At the Food Security Ministerial Meeting under the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) earlier this year\, Thailand expressed its commitment to strengthen its policies and regulations\, as well as enhance stakeholder collaborations to improve productivity\, promote biodiversity\, and prioritize sustainability to address food security for people around the world.\n\n\n\nJoin the AMCHAM Food and Agri-Business Committee in welcoming Vinit Atisook\, Deputy Secretary General\, Office of Agricultural Economics\, and learn about Thailand's agricultural policy direction for the future as well as plans and strategies to enhance food security and sustainability of the country. The meeting will also cover roles of the business community on creating food security and increasing Thailand's position as a global exporter of food and agricultural products.\n\n \n\nAbout the Speaker:\n\n\n\nVinit Atisook\, Deputy Secretary General\, Office of Agricultural Economics (OAE)\, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives (MOAC). Vinit has over 20 years of experience working at MOAC. Prior to the role of Deputy Secretary General\, he served as Director of the Center for Agricultural Information at OAE. In addition to his role at the MOAC\, he is a guest lecturer at Kasetsart University and Mahidol University\, providing lectures on free trade areas\, international agricultural trade\, and rules of origin. Vinit holds a Bachelor of Sciences in Agribusiness from Kasetsart University and a Master of Arts (Economics) from University of Illinois at Springfield.
