In addition\, the Secretary-General will present developments on the government?s policy on increasing the ease of doing business\, the progress of the Long-Term Resident (LTR) Visa implementation\, and potential collaboration with the business community to enhance Thailand?s competitiveness as a regional investment hub. \n\n\n\nAbout the Speaker:\n\n\n\nNarit Therdsteerasukdi was appointed Secretary-General of the BOI in October 2022. He started his career with the BOI in 1995 and worked in various divisions under the BOI such as the Investment Service Center\, International Affairs Division\, and Planning and Development Division. He was later promoted to management positions including Director of Economic and Investment Strategy Division and Director of Center for Development of New Investment Promotion Strategy and Policy. In addition to his position at the BOI\, he was appointed to be Deputy Director of One Tambon\, One Product (OTOP) Program Coordination Office under the Prime Minister?s Office as well as Head of the Secretariat of Economic Advisory Committee to the Prime Minister in the early 2000s.\n\n\n\nNarit also takes on additional roles relating to educational and economic development. For example\, he is currently the Vice President of Chulalongkorn University?s Economics Association\, a member of the Public Sector Development Sub-Committee\, and a member of Special Task Force for Building New Priority Industries (PMO Team) under the supervision of Deputy Prime Minister Supattanapong Punmeecheow.\n\n\n\nNarit earned his Bachelor of Economics (Honors) from Chulalongkorn University\, Bachelor of Laws from Ramkhamhaeng University\, and Master of Arts in Economics from Boston University\, USA.
