DESCRIPTION:To say that the demand for alternative sources of protein is on the rise would be an understatement. Various factors are driving consumers to incorporate these new products in their diets\, including health benefits\, sustainability concerns and animal welfare. This trend is consistent globally and in the past two years\, alternate protein has gained traction with accelerated awareness and demand. Thailand has been at the forefront of the region and we have a panel of industry experts joining us in this event to discuss the future of alternate proteins.\n\n\n\nSpeakers:\n1. Dr Christopher Cowlin (CJ) is a serial entrepreneur with extensive knowledge and experience responding to Black Swan events\, over the horizon predictive analysis\, and threat assessment. Amongst his many other ventures\, he is deeply involved in food security and emerging technologies related to these areas. Based in Sa Keao\, Dr Christopher has been looking into the space of alternate protein in Thailand in the past couple of years.\n\n \n\n2. Dan Pathomvanich is the CEO of NRF (NR Instant Produce)\, a leading global manufacturer of sustainably produced foods. Listed on the SET\, NRF produces food items made from plant proteins to resemble animal meat products\, including vegan meats made from jackfruit and eggplant\, shirataki or konjac noodle. Dan is an accomplished innovator on the plant-based front and was recognized by Tatler Thailand as Entrepreneur of the Year in 2020.\n\n \n\n3. Tanawat Damnernthong (Note) is the General Manager of Burger King Thailand which is operated by the Minor Food Group. Under his leadership\, Burger King has been constantly introducing consumer relevant products in Thailand which includes multiple plant based offerings. With his in-depth knowledge of Thai consumers and understanding of the food industry\, Note is always on the lookout for upcoming trends to serve his customers.
