SUMMARY:CSR Committee: ACE Recognition 2019 Information Session
DESCRIPTION:All AMCHAM members are invited to attend the AMCHAM CSR Committee's information session on the CSR Excellence (ACE) Recognition Program. First time entrants and SMEs are particularly encouraged to apply.\n\n\n\nPlease note that registration is required for this event\, as we may need to move to a larger venue in case of a large number of attendees.\n\n \n\nMyth: Only large multi-national companies can win the award\n\nFact: The award is open to all members\, and small organizations have won in the past\n\n \n\nMyth: Companies need a huge budget to win\n\nFact: Program value is not a main consideration of the awards.\n\n \n\nMyth: Projects and programs can only win if a company donates money to an NGO or a non-profit organization\n\nFact: Internal projects\, such as working to improve the lives of your employees or improve your environmental practices are also eligible.\n\n \n\nSince 2007\, AMCHAM's CSR Excellence (ACE) Recognition Program has honored member organizations that create long-term economic and social benefits in their Thailand communities. Over the years\, the program has grown in size and recognition.\n\n\n\nThis year\, the Board of Governors and CSR Committee is pleased to announce the following award categories:\n\n\n	Excellence in CSR Projects Award\n	The CSR People's Choice Award\n	Excellence in Projects Supporting Thai Development\n	Excellence in Thai - U.S. Partnerships (the Ambassador's Award)\n\nTo qualify for an ACE recognition\, a firm's CSR program must receive high-marks in six key criteria:\n\n\n	Integration with Company Mission\n	Communication\n	Measurability of Results\n	Organizational Policy\n	Partnerships\n	Sustainability\n\n\nIf your company has been recognized in years past\, now is the time to begin planning a repeat performance for higher levels of recognition silver\, gold\, or platinum based upon the number of consecutive years recognized. If you are a new member or you have never applied for a CSR recognition\, come to this meeting to learn how you can apply.\n\n \n\nThe submission process is not difficult\, but it does involve some forethought and planning. At this month's meeting\, the CSR Committee will introduce the revised ACE Recognition process for 2019. If you have any inclination to participate\, it is recommended to send a representative to the CSR Committee meeting on 27 June at the AMCHAM office.\n\n \n\nNote that your representative can be anyone you authorize -- your CSR maven or savvy PA included. Please just register them so that can we keep track of turnout and move to a bigger venue if needed.
