DESCRIPTION:The AMCHAM Business Economics Committee is honored to welcome Dr. Don Nakornthab\, Senior Director of Economic and Policy Departments at the Bank of Thailand\, who will be our July committee meeting's distinguished guest speaker. Dr. Don will elaborate on Thailand's Monetary Policy and Macroeconomic Objectives. \n\n\n\nDr. Nakornthab holds a PH. D and M.A. in Economics from Harvard. With over 17 years of experience\, Dr. Nakornthab's primary responsibilities include overseeing the analysis of Thailand's macroeconomic conditions as well as formulation of monetary policy recommendations to support the Bank's monetary policy decisions. Previously\, Dr. Nakornthab was also the senior director\, dealing with the bank's financial institutions strategy department. Dr. Nakornthab has a rich history in dealing with the banks' financial sector master plan\, financial stability assessment\, and financial institutions foreign policies.
