DESCRIPTION:The AMCHAM Legal Committee is delighted to present Thosapone Dansuputra\, Director General of the Department of Intellectual Property (DIP)\, Ministry of Commerce\, as the honored keynote speaker at our March Monthly Luncheon.  He will be speaking on developments in intellectual property protection and enforcement in Thailand.\n\n \n\nThe Thai government is making tremendous progress in IP protection. There are legislative developments\, tireless enforcement campaign\, DIP's increased service efficiency\, and public awareness and educational activities. Thailand is no longer in the U.S. Priority Watch List.  A lot has been achieved\; still there are more challenges.\n\n \n\nThosapone's professional experiences included Permanent Mission of Thailand to the World Trade Organization in Geneva\, multilateral trade negotiations (the Uruguay Round)\, bilateral negotiations (Thailand-USA\, Thailand-EU\, Thailand-Latin American countries)\, and Committee on IP Law Development.  He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Laws from Chulalongkorn University\, and a Master's Degree in Laws from American University\, USA. \n\nThis event will also serve as the Annual General Meeting for the purposes of approving the 2018 President's report and Audited Financial Statements along with the appointment of the 2019 Auditors.
