DESCRIPTION:AMCHAM looks forward to welcoming Michael Heath\, Charg  d'Affaires\, a.i.\, for a fireside chat  with AMCHAM President\, Greg Wong\, on the future of economic diplomacy and how the new Biden administration may impact business in the Kingdom of Thailand.  \n\n \n\nEach speaker has extensive experience in strengthening connections between countries through common business goals.\n\n \n\nOver the past year\, the U.S. Embassy and AMCHAM built bridges between U.S. firms and the Thai government\, establishing an advisory council of prominent U.S. business leaders in Thailand and meeting with all levels of the Royal Thai Government to advise on concrete ways our economies can prosper together.\n\n \n\nThis event will also serve as the Annual General Meeting for the purposes of approving the 2020 President's report and Audited Financial Statements along with the appointment of the 2021 Auditors.\n\n\n\nStatements from this event will be off the record. \n\nPlease note that no walk-ins will be allowed for this event. \n\n \n\nAbout the Speakers:\n\nMichael Heath is the Charg  d'Affaires\, a.i. at the U.S. Embassy in Bangkok. He was previously acting Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Canberra\, Australia from 2016 to 2019\, and Consul General in Chiang Mai\, Thailand from 2013 to 2016. Originally from California\, he received his B.A. in International Relations from Stanford University. He and his wife Michelle have a son attending the University of California at Davis and a daughter attending high school.\n\n \n\nGreg Wong is Managing Director at Agoda\, one of the world's fastest-growing online travel platforms. A former senior American diplomat\, Greg specializes in building sustainable partnerships between government and industry.
